Each Games venue has a dedicated Police team. Proactive, protective security searches are taking place across venues, and increasing towards Games time. ‘Project Servator’ is already active which provides high profile police deployments at transport hubs and high footfall areas. The look and feel of the security presence will be overt but unobtrusive.

A command and governance structure is in place to maintain current service levels to communities. Every geographic area has undertaken a localised risk assessment and preventative plans are in place to disrupt and manage risks early. An additional 2,000 officers will arrive on Mutual Aid to support West Midlands Police.
