Both the Opening and Closing Ceremonies will be performed at Birmingham’s redeveloped Alexander Stadium to live audiences of up to 40,000. In addition, hundreds of millions of people will be watching the Ceremonies on television across the world.

The Opening Ceremony will take place on Thursday 28 July 2022 and the Closing Ceremony performance will take place on Monday 8 August 2022. Both Ceremonies will be in the evening, the exact start and end times are tbc.

We are seeking applications from individuals who will be aged 18 years or over on 1 March 2022.

The application deadline is 23:59 GMT on Monday 7 February 2022.

If at the closing date we have received more than 300 applications, successful applicants will be randomly selected.
