Volunteers will not receive free tickets to any of the Birmingham 2022 events. You are welcome to apply for tickets, but if you are offered and accept a role in the Ceremonies, this should always take priority over attending a sporting session you have tickets for.
Depending on the length of any rehearsal or training sessions you are required to attend, food and beverages/refreshments may be provided. If you have any special dietary requirements, you can select these in your application. This will help our operational planning, however we cannot guarantee to cater for all requests.
For sustainability, we encourage volunteers to bring reusable water bottles to use at the on-site water stations.
No accommodation will be provided to volunteers. All volunteers are responsible for arranging, and paying for, any accommodation they may require attending rehearsals and the ceremonies themselves. You can find lots of useful information, including accommodation details, through www.visitbirmingham.com.
Volunteers will receive free public transport on West Midlands trains, buses and trams when travelling to and from Ceremonies venues for rehearsals and for the Ceremonies themselves. You will not be reimbursed for the cost of using a private car or any other mode of transport.
Birmingham Ceremonies is unable to provide childcare for volunteers.
