While we do not envisage any excessive noise resulting from this work, it’s inevitable there will
be some noise, but we will take care to be good neighbours. All plant and equipment to be used on
this project will be fitted with silencing equipment, and where required acoustic sheds will be
used on ‘fixed plant’ items. All machinery will be switched off when not in use.

Birmingham City Council, neighbours and other interested parties will be advised of any noisy
activities which will be carried out in a controlled and professional manner so as to minimise
disruption to the local community. Sealed acoustic covers will be utilised as necessary during
noisy activities, and wherever practicable noise will be directed away or carried out away from
sensitive locations.

Construction noise calculations have been undertaken in accordance with British Standards and
regular noise monitoring will also be undertaken on site to ensure that levels are within the
required threshold
