Hosting the cycling Time Trial for the Birmingham 2022 Commonwealth Games is a superb opportunity to showcase Wolverhampton, Dudley, Staffordshire and the surrounding areas to a global audience. 

The Birmingham 2022 Commonwealth Games is expected to attract a global viewing audience of more than 1.5 billion and images from the Time Trial will be shown across the country, the Commonwealth and the world. 

Thousands of people are also expected to line the cycling Time Trial course and this will bring an economic boost to the local area, with the local hospitality industry expected to benefit in particular. 

It is also hoped that the Time Trial will also be a catalyst to inspire more people across the Black Country and beyond to be physically active.
